There
are 4 collection centres where the raw materials for
different medicines are collected . The collection of these
materials is a job requiring compact knowledge, care and
attention. Different parts of a plant are used for
different purposes at different times. A plant can be
used in various diseases by its various parts, sizes,
conditions, and stages. These raw materials are classically
picked, carefully collected, deftly dried and cautiously
cleaned.
In the year 1997-98, these centres were provided with modern
machinery like Micropulverizers and Hammer crushers.
Collected raw materials are converted into Choorna (
powder form ) at the centres only. Thus, clean Choornas
are directely sold to the Ayurved hospitals and
dispensaries in the state.
B. Pharm. (Ayu ) in Pay scale of Rs. 6,500 –10,000 are
posted as Vaidyakiya Adhikari in such Medicinal Plants
Collection centres. The list of Ccollection centres are as
